At the end of class on Tuesday, we read through Chapter One of Katherine Paterson's novel, Bridge to Terabithia. Jesse Owens spent a good part of the chapter preparing to be the fastest runner in the 5th grade. Remember that at the end of the chapter, Jesse's sister came and told him that people were moving into the old Perkin's place. Make a prediction about the rest of the book based on the information from this first chapter.

I think that when the new people come a new girl would come and go to his school and might be faster than him if she joins the race.Also,that Jesse becomes friends with with her and they start to do stuff together.

I predict that jesse is going to practice until he's to tiered enought to run and he's going to find out that a girl in the class is faster then him and would run alot.I predicted that because he talks about it in the novel.

I think that there is going to be someone faster than him, and they are going to be enemies throughout the whole book. I say this because I think Jesse will be mad that he has been working so hard to be the fastest and if he isn't, he will be angry.
Jesse Owens will be the fastest runner in the 3rd 4th and 5th grade and he will move in with his sister but maybe his sister will move out and go live with him and Jesse Owens will be come popular in his school and in his neighborhood and lots of people will know him
